Mr. French's focus at LainFaulkner is as an expert in the area of litigation and valuation. His extensive experience includes testifying in matters involving lost profits and economic damages calculations, shareholder disputes, forensic accounting, malpractice, characterization, valuation, fraud, financial misconduct, trust accounting and inventory accounting. In the last five years, he has provided sworn testimony over 30 times and has been a court-appointed expert in seven different Texas counties.
Paul is one of the seven primary authors of the current professional and valuation standards of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), which is the largest forensic and valuation credentialing organization in the country. He is nationally published and is a nationally recognized instructor in the areas of economic damages, business valuation, fraud deterrence, and collaborative law.
He currently holds elected chairmanship positions of the Executive Advisory Board of NACVA, the Business Valuations, Forensic and Litigation Services Committee of the Texas Society of CPAs and the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) Review Course Task Force of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University, Paul also holds the following professional credentials: Accredited in Business Appraisal Review, Business Valuator Accredited in Litigation, Certified Public Accountant/Accredited in Business Valuation, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Forensic Accountant, Certified Forensic Financial Analyst, Certified Machinery/Equipment Appraiser, Certified Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, Certified Valuation Analyst and Forensic Certified Public Accountant.
