Ms. Stephens brings a depth of experience gained from
over 15 years in industry as well as public accounting. Her background,
which includes management positions in the private sector, contributes
to her thorough understanding of the requirements as well as the sensitivity
to work with debtors under difficult circumstances to assist with preparation
of their Schedules and Statements of Financial Affairs, monthly operating
reports and financial projections necessary for development of a Plan
of Reorganization. She also has extensive experience in claims determination
and distributions to creditors. In addition, Ms. Stephens has served
in a fiduciary capacity as Plan Administration Agent.
Ms. Stephens graduated summa cum laude from the University
of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. Her professional
experience includes seven years in the area of bankruptcy accounting,
litigation support and forensic accounting and five years as vice
president
and CFO of a research and consulting practice, with particular expertise
in financial statement compilation, tax reporting and compliance
and payroll services. She also served as project manager for several
complex
research projects for a major multi-national corporation. Ms. Stephens
gained extensive experience in litigation support while employed
by a large Washington, D. C. law firm.
Ms. Stephens is a Certified Public Accountant and a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and
the Texas
Society of
Certified Public Accountants.
